Being a part of the school
All parents are automatically members of the PA. Each year the parents elect a committee which operates under a chairperson and includes a secretary, treasurer and about 10 committee members representing the interests of the parent body. The chairperson of the PA makes a report to the Board at each Board meeting.
The PA committee’s two main functions are representing opinions of the parents to the Head and fundraising through organising and running various functions throughout the year, funds from which are used mainly for capital development around the school. A subcommittee within the PA provides teas for sporting and other school events, while others are formed from time to time and assigned to specific projects.
All parents are encouraged to support and be actively involved in PA functions.
